The event will take place on Sunday April 30 in Knysna, at the Knysna High School grounds, located on Waterfront Drive. With Monday 1 May and Thursday 27 April being public holidays it provides those from out of town the opportunity of enjoying a wonderful long weekend in the beautiful Garden Route.
The KMS is organised by the Garden Route Motor Club (GRMC), and is now recognised as one of the premier and best organised motor shows in SA. The 2016 motor show turned out to be a real blockbuster with the most fantastic cars and motorcycles on display.
The motor show continues to grow in stature and has attracted interest from across SA. In 2016,430 cars and motorcycles were on display including vintage & veteran cars, classic sports cars, vintage and classic motorcycles, all of top quality and not often seen in SA.
The strategy adopted by the organisers of personally selecting and inviting participants has clearly been successful. The maximum number of cars and motorcycles to be displayed at this year’s show has been fixed at around 500.
The KMS vision is to stage a motor show where quality and interesting displays are the key objective, rather than the number of cars and motorcycles on display. The objective for 2017 is again to lift the motor show standard and make it a motor show with a difference by providing the opportunity for owners of high quality and unique cars to display their vehicles in a country style and relaxed atmosphere.
With the popularity of the KMS growing and with the show taking place over a long weekend we expect that the record number of 5000 visitors to 2016 show to be exceeded.
